22mm watch bands

The 745 seems to have some kind of new way to swap out watch bands ?

it possible to swap out the watchband for a regular 22mm watch band ? Or do you have to use Garmins own watch bands ?

Is it quick or "advanced" ?

Im using the 645 by changing the watch bands with quick release for a silicon band when I run and a leather band for everyday use.

  • Thanks for your quick reply.

  • I am in the same position as the above query i.e. trying to fit a 22mm Quickfit MARQ bands to my new Foreunner 745.  I managed to take off the strap that came with the watch without too much difficulty, removed the metal bar from the strap itself and fitted it between the lugs of the watch.  I thought that was the difficult bit achieved and that it would then be easy to fit the Quickfit band to the strap.  How wrong can one be !

Despite much trying, swearing and even having cut my finger in the process, I simply cannot attach the band.  The band has a stiff mechanism and just when you have pulled it back and thought you have got the band round the metal bar left between the lugs, it clicks out and never really connects.  The fit just feels too tight to me, as though there is a little too much plastic at the top of the bands to enable a true connection to be made with the metal bar.  I would be very interested / grateful to hear from anyone who has actually achieved this pairing (i.e. with the Quickfit 22mm MARQ bands not the cheaper Quickfit 22 bands that seem to be compatible with the 945, which seem to have a different spring mechanism from youtube videos that I have seen) as to whether they used some clever trick to make the pairing, because at the moment I am regretting this purchase, the 745 only being chosen over the 945 so that I could pair it with the Quickfit 22mm MARQ navy blue silicon strap.

  • Where can I find this colour green? I only see the same bogey green everywhere
