22mm watch bands

The 745 seems to have some kind of new way to swap out watch bands ?

it possible to swap out the watchband for a regular 22mm watch band ? Or do you have to use Garmins own watch bands ?

Is it quick or "advanced" ?

Im using the 645 by changing the watch bands with quick release for a silicon band when I run and a leather band for everyday use.

    So the Quick Release 22 mm bands fit but they'll be somewhat loose? Is that something that you can actually feel when you're wearing the watch as well? Not sure if I'd be comfortable wearing the watch if I would constantly feel or see the "looseness". 

    I've seen sellers on Amazon, Ebay and other places that sell generic 22 mm Quick Release bands that they claim are compatible with Forerunner 745. They all look like cheap generic copies, so the quality and claimed compatibility might be questionable, anyone tried them?

    The 745 has a spring bar with much thicker ends. The generic watch bands have the issue listed earlier - they are a loose fit as the pins are thinner (which seems to be the standard). You are right, they claim compatibility but the pins are a mismatch.

    Ummm, there are many third party sellers for quickfit bands as well. I have bought some of them on aliexpress. But amazon, ali or your local wesbite which sells garmin bands should have them too. Quickrelease however IS more popular since its generic and not proprietary to garmin watches.

    The Olive strap on my 645 ?

    I got it from Finwatchstraps on Etsy, with 20mm quickrelease pins - works perfect on the Garmin 645 Music.

    However, it will not work on the 745 since it uses thicker pins.

    I think you have to use Garmins own 22mm straps for the 745 (only silicon available) or 22mm quickfit straps (available from other vendors, but not from regular strap-makers such as Finwatchstraps on Etsy)

    Yes, correct. I found this thread from Google search but your Garmin 645 with the olive strap photo did not appear here.

    Suunto Spartan Sport HR Baro user for 3 years & happy to switch to Garmin.

    Has anyone tried one of the expensive ($99) 22mm QuickFit silicone bands on the 745?

    They are the MARQ bands, but Garmin lists them as compatible with the 745. I’m wondering how they fit and how they look.

    Will the Forerunner 945 QuickFit 22mm bands fit the 745? Apologies for the simple question but I’m still confused.
