I'm in a difficult situation and I'm hoping this community can help.
My Forerunner 255 (non-Music version) automatically updated to the beta firmware 25.02. Since this update, the watch is completely bricked. It's stuck on a blue triangle screen and is endlessly rebooting.
I have already tried everything I could:
- Soft reset (holding the LIGHT button).
- Hard reset (factory reset), but the watch reboots before the process can even complete.
Garmin's customer support has refused to service the watch because it is out of warranty. My only remaining option is to try and downgrade to a previous stable firmware version.
Unfortunately, all the links to firmware archives I've found in the forums are dead (404 error).
Would someone be kind enough to share a working link for a stable firmware, like version 18.22 or another stable release, for the Forerunner 255?
