Forerunner 255 crashes

Question

Today the watch totaly crashed by starting a run. 
 Hard reset does not work, i see only the triangel. 
 was updates.

 We are aware of the disruption of devices displaying a blue triangle when starting a GPS activity. Holding the power button until the unit powers off may or may not restore functionality temporarily. I am very sorry for any frustration and appreciate your patience as we work on a resolution.

 Thank you very much for your patience as we worked on this issue. Please see the steps from My Garmin Device Will Not Boot Past the Start Up Screen for a resolution. If you already performed the steps involving the button presses and are still stuck on the triangle, please try them again.

Hi everybody 
 I'm french, excuse my poor english. Same problem : a blue triangle. Impossible to swith off the device pushing the start button, even a long time. So impossible to restart the device. Frustrating...

I tried to do this and it didn't crash/restart: 
 I turned off the BLE connection on my smartphone (i.e. removed the synchronization with the Garmin connect app) then I purposely started the running activity indoors and obviously it didn't allow the GPS to be hooked up (the red line remains) after about 1 minute I went outside and it hooked up to the GPS regularly without crashing and I was able to run regularly with my 255 
 I can't guarantee that it works 100% since I only did one test but you could try too.

Forerunner 255 (in AUS) - For my partner I did this to their watch (very stubborn would not do any of the standard resets just looped over and over): 
 support.garmin.com/.../ 
 Did the UnPrompted reset 
 1. Ensure the watch is powered off. 
 You may need to hold LIGHT for up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off. 
 2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP. 
 3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons. 
 4. After the first beep release START/STOP. 
 5. After the second beep release the remaining buttons. 
 The reset is successful if the watch finishes powering up and goes through initial setup. Try the steps again if initial setup does not appear. 
 the watch resets and then connects and you open the explorer view (i'm on my computer which isn't sync to this watch 255 - i have 245) plug in cable and the file is: This PC\Forerunner 255 Music\Internal Storage\GARMIN\RemoteSW\GPE.bin 
 Important to delete that file which is the corrupt file (google if need be to confirm) you'll probably need to resync your data with garmin express perhaps
