Forerunner 255 crashes

Today the watch totaly crashed by starting a run.

Hard reset does not work, i see only the triangel.

We are aware of the disruption of devices displaying a blue triangle when starting a GPS activity. Holding the power button until the unit powers off may or may not restore functionality temporarily…

Yep, bricked Forerunner 255. I started a walk and flashing triangle. A soft reset does nothing.

I'm not using beta firmware; had an update about a week ago.

Additionally the Connect app on my phone…

Same happens to me. As a consequence I tried to reset my Garmin watch to see if that solved the issue. Lost all my configurations and I'm still facing the issue. Great way to start the day. Thanks Garmin.

Yeah I got hit with this too this morning. I was on version 19.something though. So how the *** is this happening if it's not related to an update?

Add me to the list of frustrated owners. Although the watch has been faithful for four years before this. I trust the company is in "quick as possible" fix-it mode.

Apparently it's related to the GPS system. If they can figure out what, fix that then hopefully we can all get things restarted.

Same here - blue triangle when I started a GPS activity.

Installed Garmin Express on my PC, and while I could (eventually) add my 255 as a device by holding down START/STOP, as soon as I released it the watch disconnected.

Although it says the firmware is up-to-date (21.22), the sync failed with a big red banner, and it's still stuck displaying the triangle of doom.

Mine crashed before I even stated my run, I got into the activities, scrolled to run and then went to start it and it was on the blue triangle. Reboot did not work. Please figure out what's going on.

Same issue happened to me this morning on my FR255 V21.22 as soon as I loaded the Run activity and GPS attempted to make a connection.

I have had the same problem today with my Garmin Forerunner 255. Went to start a run and as soon as I press start, up came the Blue Triangle. I have been unable to reset/clear this issue. Will Garmin be contacting those who have their 255 watches registered with Garmin through email with a fix or how to return the watch to get fixed?
