Forerunner 255 resets on activity start

Forerunner 255 keeps on restarting every time I start an activity. I'd press the Start button, get navigated to the screen with all the data showing, once I press the Start button again, it resets. I've tried this running and walking. Video attached.

How come you get such gaps in HR if a restart takes a minute at most in general? Something's off with your hardware I think.

I'm not sure I get what you mean by gaps in HR? HR isn't an issue it's captured regularly

Do you have any IQ data fields?

Have you tried reset defaults on the running settings area?

This looks like a workout , what if its not a workout?

I've tried resetting the defaults on running settings area, and my watch still restarts when I start a workout, irrespective of the type of activity (walk, run, swim), as soon as I start the activity it will restart.

Hello, I had exactly the same issue with my forerunner 745. Factory reset didn't worked. Finaly I wrote gramin support and they changed my 745 against a 255. I'm supposed to reciev it today. I hope that I will not face the same issue again with the 255.

Yeah looks to be the same issue, I'll wait for 20.33 to see if it gets addressed

There is a new beta out, may be worth a try ( i have it on my 965)
