today I received a software update of my forrunner 255 with the version number 18.26. So what's the release notes? After updating to 18.23 my batterry drain so quickly and the heart rate isn't accurate sometimes. Hope the problems can be fixed soon.

Same here: 18.26. I have no idea what changed since 18.23.
I had a small update 2 days ago but it still shows 18.23.
No changelog or notes (one a few weeks ago was similar and just a time zone change).
Edit:- just checked again, installed another new update, showing…
Same here. It better have the heart rate issues fixed.
It's a very bad look for Garmin having this issue unresolved for 2 months now. It's a sports watch dammit and measuring your heart rate is a core…
I have wrist heart rate enabled, and no battery drain issues. Have you tried to force a restart after the update by holding the top left button until it turns off? Sometimes it is not the firmware itself that causes issues, but the upgrade process. It can need an extra restart to fall correctly into place.
My 18.26 is also working just fine. No issues. I have seen this for many years with different Garmin watches. Every time there is an update of the firmware, some watches are botched somehow. Typically draining battery, GPS not working, or HR sensors not working. Then some of these watches are resurrected by various restarts, and the others die. It is not the firmware itself, but the upgrade process that seems to cause it.
