today I received a software update of my forrunner 255 with the version number 18.26. So what's the release notes? After updating to 18.23 my batterry drain so quickly and the heart rate isn't accurate sometimes. Hope the problems can be fixed soon.

Same here: 18.26. I have no idea what changed since 18.23.
I had a small update 2 days ago but it still shows 18.23.
No changelog or notes (one a few weeks ago was similar and just a time zone change).
Edit:- just checked again, installed another new update, showing…
Same here. It better have the heart rate issues fixed.
It's a very bad look for Garmin having this issue unresolved for 2 months now. It's a sports watch dammit and measuring your heart rate is a core…

I will post an update here when I test it.
Exactly the same experience as mentioned here. Updated today to version 18.26, last main update a few weeks ago to 18.23 after which the battery seemed to drain very quickly. Small update a few days ago, no noticeable difference and still reporting 18.23. Wondering what's changed in 18.26...
I also got 18.26 this morning. Now it completely messes my HR, as it now shows over 100bpm sitting on the couch when it actually is around 68bpm. Rebooting let it drop to 70-ish and then goes up again. All that the day before my marathon… thanks Garmin…
I don't notice any heart rate issues with 18.26, nor did I have any with 18.23.
Maybe Garmin-Sierra has more information about this release?
Hoping this update addresses the rapid battery drain issues with the heart rate monitor. Ever since updating to 18.23 my battery has barely lasted a day with wrist heart rate enabled (even with no activities logged for the day). When I disable wrist heart rate there are no issues with the battery.
