Does software version 18.23 drain battery quickly?

Does software version 18.23 drain battery quickly? I am currently using Garmin forerunner 255 tidal blue and software version 18.22

Not noticed any difference on my 965, it has been ok so far.

I am using Forerunner 955. After update to 18.23 my battery drain 40-50% in 24 hours. No activities. I do believe it is due to update. Never before it happened. I used to charge once per week with minimum 1-2 activities per day. Now i need to charge daily

I also started to notice this. It eats more than 15% during the night now. This used to be like 5-7%. Settings are unchanged (pulse OX enabled)

Before every night or once a day or how frequently? Is this a permanent solution or a windows support recommendation?

Once per firmware upgrade is recommended. It has worked for many others before, so it is worth a try.

Mine always reboots automatically after the firmware upgrade so I suppose this has been done then.

No, I mean an extra restart, intitiated by holding the top left button for a long time until it shuts off. If the watch is draining battery, it usually means something is stuck in the software, and will usually be sorted out this way.

I think it has been worse since the last 17.xx updates, it now only lasts for a week or so.

For me the restart solved all the problems
