I've seen other threads about this same problem. The headphone bluetooth connection drops out frequently during runs.
I wanted to post my solution/workaround on the other threads but Garmin keeps locking them for some reason....
Anyway,
I noticed that every time the earbud connection would drop my watch was trying to connect to my phone ( the connection sync icon was spinning on the watch ). I always leave my phone in the car when I run so every 5 minutes or so the watch tries to connect to it and kicks the earbuds at the same time.
I think it can't handle the audio connection and the attempted phone connection at the same time.
What I do now is to turn my phone connection off before a run and I've gone from 10 - 20 drop outs in an hour run to zero. Hasn't dropped out once since I started doing this.
Connectivity > Phone > switch status to off.
Obviously this still needs a fix from Garmin but I hope this works for you if you have the same problem.
