Hello everybody,
I set my sleep window for 7 hours of sleep (from 10:00 p.m. to 5 a.m.) ...... but the Connect app. still says the "goal" is 8 hours. when I view my stats on it.
Moreover everyday it tells me I have not slept long enough (before advising me of other sleep issues it has detected) .... and gives me a lower body battery score (I would presume)
I have hardly ever slept 8 hours in my entire life .... even as a youth..... and I am now nearly 66 years old.
My natural sleep time is 6 hours ..... and now I allow for 7 (because now I am older I wake up to pee and may not always get back to sleep immediately)
My question is ..... Will the watch eventually figure out that I DON'T need 8 hours of sleep ? ...... or is there some setting on the Connect app to change the sleep "goal" separately to the "sleep window" ?
It is a known fact that there are people who require more (or less) sleep than others based on genetics (or whatever) ..... "forcing" myself to stay in bed for 8 hours when I don't need to do this is counterproductive and rather silly..... and I notice that doing so has a negative impact on my stamina and daily energy (regardless of what the Body Battery might be telling me).
Don't get me wrong.... I think Body Battery is a brilliant idea ..... but it would be nice if the designers had a "calibrate" option.... I am hoping it's automatic...... and the watch is intelligent enough to eventually figure out that I am in the peak of health for my age (based on my daily activities and the information it constantly measures) and then it could stop telling me "shorter than ideal" and give me a better "body battery" score..... don't you think ?
Am I expecting too much ? Is there another way to set a lower number for the sleep "goal" ?
