Watch disconnects BT while starting activities

Since 13.21 firmware, my FR255s disconnects/reconnects BT several times right after starting an activity (multiple notifications pops up) and then it stays connected after a while.

  • I'm joining the club of the unhappy of the bluetooth... I have the feeling it's started a few version ago (can't remember when exactly, for sure, didn't have the problem initially in summer when I bought it) and it's even worse now on the version 13.23, seems the watch doesn't stay connected more than a few minutes.

    FYI. We are not payed to troubleshoot for you- we have our own stressy jobs ...

    It is long overdue that you correct this problem or return us to the original software. We are way to many to look for user biases. It is clear developer fault.

    1. I have never paired any sensors to the watch. Except of some known 3rd party watchfaces, the watch was started with a factory reset ...

    2. The watch every time I go to an activity or when I go to heart rate glance simply keeps telling me via phone connection alert that it keeps connecting and disconnecting. Every time the same. And I can not sync it usually through connect app at that time, so it really is not bt connected.

    3. This happens after 13.21 update, before it was not present.

    4. If I allow you to put half assed firmware updates it would be strange for me to not allow you to put the BNS, ass long as it will not remain there as a corrupted part of code.

  • I just got 14.08 on my watch and can confirm that the bug is still present.  I posted it in the beta bug report forum.

  • of course it's still present. otherwise it would be in the beta release notes.

  • 14.08 shows available for me on Connect on PC, even syncing manually  it is not downloading to watch, Keeping trying...

  • Does this bug affects headphones? So music will disconnect?

  • My one is not music edition, but it surely keeps dropping the connection with the phone.

  • No disconnects on my headphones.

    If i understand it correctly, it impacts only LiveTrack.  Annoying? Yes! But how many people use it? I'm not. 

    And all 8 pages-flame here is all about the very dangerous message "phone disconnected/connected" that switched on by default.  =) 

    Edit: Have just tested to start the activity by setting "on" the connectivity alert - got no alert on starting activity on my OP9pro. Strange.

  • unfortunately you don't understand it correctly:)
    for example, I don't have the Music version, but I control my music on my phone over the watch, this doesn't work, if there's no connection to the phone...so the feature is non existent in this state. I don't get my phone notifications mirrored to my watch, because no connection...another feature is broken..want some more examples?
    basically with this bug this smartwatch is not so smart any more. that's what 8 pages are about. I hope now it's clear to you.
