FR255M keeps restarting from time to time

Hi, I've been using forerunner 255 music for about a month and I noticed it restarting during running activities

I've done 19 running activities so far and experienced restarting 5 times. First four happened when I pressed start button while listening to music

and last one happened during interval workout which I've created.(was listening to music)

My watch sw and garmin express versions are latest ones.

Anyone experiencing similar problem?

    Kevin -  Any updates?  I am about to run an ultra marathon and I am hoping there's an update or fix to this problem that a lot of folks are having.  Especially with the LiveTrack sharing.  It is concerning to me.

    We do not currently have any new information on this report just yet but hope to have something to address this in a future software update.  At this time, we do not have a timeline for the release of this future software update. Thank you for your patience with us while we work to investigate this issue.

    I think our challenge is that tracking activities is probably 99% of the reason we bought this thing. If my Garmin can't consistently, reliably, and accurately track and save workouts, then I've just paid $300+ to get the timekeeping abilities of a $15 watch. Even if it's only crashing 10% of the time, that's still a shockingly high failure rate.

    Yes, I have now the certainty that if you start first the music and then the activity the watch crashes and restarts.

    I haven't experienced any problem of you start first the activity and then the music. It is quite annoying. I bought it mainly to run with music and it is an evident limitation. I have no experience with interval workouts.

    Had this bug also 4 times. It always happened between 2.8Km and 3.2Km and always when running in a slow pace (5:30min/Km)

    Already tried different things

    - wearing/not wearing a bpm wrist

    - changed satellite mode 

    - turned off different settings like temperature

    Im not using music !

    But the FR keeps restarting from time to time

    Please see our recently released beta software for a fix addressing this report. If you prefer to not install this beta software, we hope to be rolling out a public software update soon, though I do not have a timeline for this release. If you are still seeing this issue after installing the beta software, please contribute your observations in the appropriate beta bug reports section of the beta forums for your specific device.

    We have released a fix in the latest (non-beta) software release that should resolve the report for most users experiencing these symptoms.  The software release should continue rolling out to all users in the coming days.  If you are still experiencing symptoms like the original report here, please start a new thread in the main forum.
