FR255M keeps restarting from time to time

Hi, I've been using forerunner 255 music for about a month and I noticed it restarting during running activities

I've done 19 running activities so far and experienced restarting 5 times. First four happened when I pressed start button while listening to music

and last one happened during interval workout which I've created.(was listening to music)

My watch sw and garmin express versions are latest ones.

Anyone experiencing similar problem?

    I have the same thing with the 255 music, mostly happens when: watch has been on for a while, started an activity (run in my case) and starting to listen to music. Device reboots... It's a little annoying as you wanna start running and not fiddle around with the watch.

    Twice my watch restarted while running.  On two other occasions dropped music.  Once I could restart music.  Another time I had to reboot watch to reconnect music.

    Similar here, the 255s reboots while holding the “down” button to access music controls during a run. Has happened 3-4 times in the past few weeks.

    I just ran a marathon and it did the same thing at mile 20. Frustrating to say the least!  Miles continued to track...sort of, but live track could not connect.  My wife and I rely on the live track to let us know where the other person is on the course. This is a must have ability.

    Just chiming in to say this keeps happening to me as well. Very frustrating experience and has me this close to returning this brand new watch.

    It is also my case. When I start first leasting the music and then I start an activity the watch restarts. It is not the case if I start first the activity and then the music.

    For me, the problems started a few days ago, after the update to 12.27.

    I did an 35-minute run and the watch restarted a minute after I ended the activity.

    Today I did a 54-minute walking activity. The watch didn't restart, but about an hour or two after the activity, it connected to the phone, said it's syncing fit files briefly, then lost all data from the last hour or so. Garmin Connect says there is an hour gap in my data (like steps, heart rate), which I know was not the case, because the watch showed these data before the “syncing fit files” message. Thinking

    This has happened to me once during my brief ownership (~12 days, but I run every day). It never happened on my previous Garmin watch (735XT) in 4 years.

    BTW, 255 seems very buggy. Between this, and the battery drain, and abnormal distance and pace reporting, I am wondering if I should just return it.
