FR 255: Animated Workouts do not show while performing downloaded compatible workout

Yesterday I became happy Garmin FR255M user. (I'm not new to Garmin though - it's my 3rd watch. Previously I had FR230 followed by FR645M).

I'm trying to understand the new (to me) feature: animated workouts (available in Yoga, Cardio, Strength and Pilates). I've downloaded few training plans from Garmin Connect and uploaded them to my watch. When I open the training on my watch I can see the animations in the preview window, but they are NOT visible during workout. All I can see is training name, but the animation is missing. I have "Workout Videos" enable in the activity settings.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anything else I need to do? I read the manual, I watched few videos (I found only for Fenix and Venu, but I guess it should like similar)

Does the animation work for you during training in case of FR255?

I do have firmware version 12.23

hi Kevin - yes please, you can contact me via e-mail and you can get the details from my GC account. And I live in Hungary. + reading the below reference to the FAQ - the selected workout is one of the pre-mades, so nothing is customezied within by me. Same applies for a Pilates training - that doesn't show animations either.

Well, sometimes it helps to delete the workout from the watch, and upload it via cable (using Garmin Express)... But not always. Worth to try

How can I upload a workout using Garmin Express? I couldn't find a option for workouts on Garmin Express

Go to connect.garmin.com from your PC, where you have Garmin Express installed, log in to your account. Then choose a workout and send to your device (watch). A pop-up asking if you want to open Facebook Express should appear.

Hi, thanks! I managed to transfer the workout on my watch now. But while I can see the animations before I start the workout during my workout the animations are not displayed anymore. I have workout animations turned on in the settings :/

As I mentioned earlier. It works only sometimes. I hope Garmin will fix it soon

All,

We are no longer able to reproduce this internally. For those of you who were/are experiencing this disruption, if you remove and re-add the pre-made workouts (not a custom built workout made by you), are you still able to reproduce the animation not showing? If so, please record a video demonstrating your issue and upload it here.
