My Forerunner 245 could not display the recovery heart rate after 2mins. In fact, I could view this before, i don't know why it could not be viewed now.
Is there any setting on the watch?

I can find it now, it need to scroll down to the option "Recovery heart rate" to read it.
In fact, it will display automatically after pressing stop for 2mins before. Is it due to new version of software?
It has always worked by appearing after two minutes wait on a Garmins I have had that have this feature.
I had the same issue, and it turned out the "Training status" was not being collected anymore. This is stopping the values of Recovery heart rate, vo2max and general training status from being displayed from the date it stopped onwards.
The solution I found was changing any of the value of my profile on the *watch* itself (I changed my weight) and let it sync with Garmin connect. After that it started working again. (you can change the value back of course if needed).
This solution was based on the following thread:
Look into the change lof of Software 5.0:
For me, it is clear that it is moved from the 2 minutes to the menu and does not appear automatically.
I think it is a cleaner and better way. If you need it, just start the option. A side effect: You also can pause an activity and go to this option to measure the recovery heart rate and then resume the activity.
I ever had an issue with the 2 minutes before saving, made no sense vor me. I like the new way.People who want to see this, just have to start it manually.
