Cant change music volume

Former Member
Former Member

Hello,

I hot a FR 245 Music and since I did not have BT earphones before I got a pair and they work with the watch but the music volume is always at max level even if I try to reduce it using the watch controls. The earphones dont have volume buttons so it is just the FR245 in control and the music is painfully laud..

I tried using the earphones with my phone and they work fine regulating the music level. Also I tried connecting to my Bluetooth home speaker and I cant change its volume level using the watch either.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,

Edin

Im having this same issue! Brand new earphones and 245 music and volume is stuck on max. Can anyone recommend a solution or earphones that volume can be adjusted?

    Thank you

  • A lot of people blaming Garmin for the connection issues. Bluetooth is a licensed product and chances are the cheap "bluetooth" headphones are not actually Bluetooth compliant.

The fee is reasonable, but a company selling AirPod knockoffs is also the same type of company to undercut Bluetooth licensing. Port the tech, skip the fees, and sell your product for a fraction of the cost.

Sure, but why volume control is working perfectly fine on my phones with Xiaomi Airdots and the watch sets it on max and won't respond to any volume changes? I guess that if it was Bluetooth compliance problem, it would affect broader range of devices.

  • Have someone tried this after installing the new 5.00 (561bc83) version?

  • UPDATE: Tried with Shure AONIC 215 TW1. Everything OK with version 5.0.

Same problem. Have someone already fixed this problem? Because the whole point of having the music inside the watch is that i dont want to run carrying my phone.

has this issue been fixed? just got one for Christmas and I have this exact problem.

  • Hello there,

I have the same issue. Can anyone recommend a fix. I bought a fr245 specifically for the music.

  • Unfortunately, the only solution I have for you is to buy a nice pair of earphones. I have been using the Jabra Elite Active 75t for a while and they work perfectly. They are also truly sweat proof which make them even better.
