HR accuracy issues

Is there anyone else having issues with HR readings?
I noticed that my HR was "stuck" during workouts, and would never get any higher than ~100.

I've tried wearing the watch in maybe 10 different ways, other arm, removed all sweat, tightened the strap, etc.. nothing worked.
All software is up to date.

I had a friend nearby who has a FR 235 and that watch reported HR 142 while mine was displaying 101. I think that's different enough to say that it's not working.

had great service through the email inquiry system. The operators guided me through about 2-3 steps including a patch and then simply a complete hard re-boot and then reconnect with Connect as a new device and bingo! The heart rate is monitoring accurately again for everything: circuit training in the park, spinning, was where I had the problem.

Was this patch a beta release? If so we can expect it in the future release.

yes it was 3.52 Beta. This didn't seem to do much but then they got me to reboot entirely and reconnect to Garmin as a new machine and it is now working fabulously well

and if you go direct to them they are likely to provide you with it. It is a bit fiddly loading some files down from a zip and then loading them in a garmin directory but didn't take long

What do you mean by "reboot entirely"? What did they have you do: a normal reboot, a reset -> clearing user data, or a reset -> factory reset?

hi there it was a factory reset, I believe. Everything went, set units, etc again and reconnected to Garmin Connect as if it were a new device.

Does anyone find a way to fix this problem? Because Garmin Service here in Greece, says that my watch does not have any problem.

This option is voor the 245m so i think i can't use ut voor my 245 ?

Mine is FR245m. My previous watch is fr235.

I have noticed my HR issues while playing Badminton only. Never had this issue with fr235. It stays at 105 to 110. Normally it should be 160 to 180 or higher than that.

Garmin just pushed out a new update (V3.70) for the 245M (and others). Has anyone tested this against the HR accuracy issues?
