All,
Please view Garmin Watch Optical Heart Rate Accuracy Tips for the best results. If you are still consistently seeing inaccurate heart rate data during activities, we would love to investigate. Please…
All of newer Garmin watches (Forerunner 165, 255, 265, 955, 965, Fenix 7 and Epix pro and non-pro versions) have this same problem. I would not be surprised that it affects all watches of newer generation…
The fact is, Garmin's HR sensor algorithm isn't as accurate as even my old FitBit Luxe...is it more precise, yes, but not more accurate. Multiple times, I'll be doing body weight exercises and the watch…
Not surprising, sounds like you're dealing with first level support, they aren't escalating to the engineers. The issues started many, many versions ago. I haven't even bothered calling for the issues I've seen because I know it will be worse than the support on a forum for more advanced users. The excuse in these forums is usually to send you to the best practices on HR detection and Nap Detection. Basically, we don't care, it's not an issue, we see it as an end user problem, not worthy of engineering resources. If you ask me they have their head in the sand
I was sent a replacement but, as expected, I'm seeing exactly the same issue. All they can say is maybe this will be fixed in a future software update, at least they acknowledged there's an issue.
Maybe I'll buy back the forerunner 45 I sold.
Who acknowledged, 1st or 2nd level support? Unless the software and hardware engineering teams acknowledge there is an issue, it doesn't mean anything. I haven't seen any sign they are trying to address it, same with Nap Detection. It seems clear they are trying to find other ways to survive in this highly contested market.
