I’m having an issue with heart rate measurement on my Forerunner 965 paired with a Garmin HRM-Pro Plus.
The connection itself seems fine: the watch connects quickly to the HRM and shows the notification that everything is paired. But once I start running, instead of showing my heart rate it just displays “–”. Sometimes it does pick up the HR for a few minutes at the start or in the middle of a session, but most of the time it seems like there’s no data being transferred.
At first, I thought the problem was the HRM battery, so I replaced it — no change. I suspected the strap itself, but when I connect the same HRM to my old Venu 2 and go for a run, it works perfectly with no issues.
So it looks like the problem might be with the Forerunner. If I enable wrist HR on the watch, that works fine — but not the chest strap.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
