HRM-Pro Plus no Respiration Rate, pulse at least 20-30 beats higher

After the running activity I found that there was no Respiration Rate recorded, the pulse was at least 20-30 higher than normal. When I went uphill, the pulse rate dropped, but when I ran downhill, the pulse rate increased. I felt good the whole time. Absolutely ridiculous. My pulse is 99% between 120 and 140 when the heart rate monitor is working fine. The battery is new and the watch is an Enduro 2. I wonder why this is happening? I wouldn't write here but it happens to me very often. A colleague who has had an HRM-Tri (+Fenix 6x) for a few years has no problems.

  • Seems no one cares to fix it, or look into the issue. Here is my respiration chart from today's easy pace run .

Yes my heart rate did many spike up n downs during the  respiration disconnected period ( lots )   hrm pro plus been messing up vo2 max and training loads

  • I had same problems and I'm 100% sure that mine watch (Fenix 7) didn't get from OHR sensor.
I always set my OHR during run to be off and I was suffered HR spikes during lack of respiratory data, but usually in the beginning of activity.
Finally I've reported it to Garmin and they replaced my HRM-Pro+.
Now everything looks fine but I'm not sure it is because previous sensor was broken or just coincidence with weather because something what I've observed in my case, this issue was present only when temperature was low (below 12 degrees), now is warm and all data are good.

  • They care.
I've reported this issue to Garmin support and they send me new sensor.
