HRM-Dual Bluetooth BPM issue?

When my new HRM-Dual is on it only shows my BPM on the Tacx app when it is on the HR Monitor mode. When I put it on the HRMDual:265133 (Bluetooth Mode?) it does not show heart rate (BPM). The BPM does not show up on Strava via either method. Does the bluetooth mode not send heart rate info? If not how do I get BPM on Starva using this Garmin HRM-DUAL?

    Did they say why it wouldn't work? did it work with your other Garmin or tacx sensors @Kevhatcher? Cause mine works with everything except strava

    Mine pairs with strava fine. I think it uses Bluetooth as strava doesn't have ant+ capabilities. It broke the app last time it was used on strava. Does that answer what you are asking?

    That's the setting that sends the info from your Garmin connect app to your strava app. I'm trying to get the hr strap to be seen by the strava app in the record mode so it can record a heart rate during an activity

    That's what I use and it shows my heart rate live when recording, and a graph of my heart rate after the activity has been recorded. Like the screen shot below. Did this help?

    I’m trying to do it without the garmin watch.

    I want to link the hr sensor right to the app on my phone…. Like it should do. 
    I don’t want to have a garmin watch any more

    I don't have the watch only the hrm. I do use the Garmin app, and then connect it to the strava app on my phone. No watch. I

    You might be able to do it direct without the Garmin app, but I haven't tried. Have you?

    That’s what I’m trying to do, so you connect garmin connect to get the hr strap on strava.

    do you remember the steps to set that up?

    Oh I just looked. I see why you are asking all those watch related questions. I use the Garmin taxc app, and connect it via that. The Garmin connect app is no use to the hrm I use as they don't list it on that app?Garmin Connect Mobile Android

    Then add it to strava...I can check tonight if I can just go straight to stand and remove the Garmin app. Ok hand

    Thank you! Don’t go crazy for sure, they say it’s supposed to be able to work but I don’t know why mine won’t. It just doesn’t see the strap like it’s supposed to.

    to connect the strava app to the strap itself you’re supposed to be able to go into strava. Hit the record button and then either click the heart symbol or the gear and pair a sensor before hitting start. Mine won’t show up in either of those places

    Sounds like what happened to mine. I sent a screen shot from the tacx app to Garmin, showing that the Bluetooth didn't show up, and the ant working and they sent me a new one. It wouldn't see or connect to strava until I got a new strap.
