Track worm screen in garmin watch

Hi,

currently I am using a Garmin Forerunner 310XT.

The most important feature for me is this "track worm" means I can go into a foreign forest and I can see my track.

This track looks like a worm only. no map with streests and so on is showing. I like this much.

Now I need to buy a new watch, because 310XT is not useable with Garmin Connect.

I need a hint, does any of those new Garmin watches do have this "worm" screen?

I do not like the back to start feature. Important is the worm!

2nd feature is easy switch between different sport types, like 310Xt did.

Thank you!

BR,

Daniel

  • In the manual they say "When you are , navigating to a destinationyour route is marked with a line on the map."

Why do they adding this term? Does this mean that if I am not navigating to a destination then my route is not marked with a line on the map?

    This kills me GrinningSob

  • Now I know what that mean. They show the line I have to run not the line I did run. Thats not the feature I need.

  • I do not think you interpret it correctly. Route to follow is displayed only when navigating. But regardless of that, the path you've covered is also shown, navigating or not. That's how I understand it and that's how it works on other devices with the map display. But it would be nice if some 245 owner actually confirmed this. You're doing the right thing to inquire before purchase.

  • I also suggest you ask this question on the 245 forum.

  • Thank you tmk2 for good support.

Fyi, just get FR245 since last friday and I can confirm: the worm is there.
