HRM Pro is not sending heart rates to my watch after open water swims

Hi all,

Garmin Forerunner 735xt user here. I've noticed the past couple of days that the HRM Pro wil not send any heart rate data to my watch after open water swims. I didn't have this problem before, is it some software update issue? Battery level is good and latest software version is 7.1

It works fine for cycling and running.

I have just bought a new HRM Pro band and I have the same issue after 4 swims in open water. I never manage to upload HR data to my Fenix 5 neither Garmin connect app after these trainings. For cycling…

I personally switched to Wahoo and enjoy the very expected/matching level of quality.
By the way, Wahoo belt also detects cycling cadence, so just in case.. also looks much more appealing and not like a aliexpress yellow piece of plastic..

Bought a new HRM Pro. Tested in the pool this morning and no data transfer. Have installed the 7.1 update now and removed the battery for 30 minutes. Let's see what happens now

Good news heart rate data downloaded as expected. So maybe the interim fix is to pop the battery out for 30 mins or so

Used my HRM-Pro in a Multisport activity this morning. After I tried sync stored HR data and said not HR data found. I tried the battery removal trick but no luck. Lost all HR data for the swim portion of the activity.

Mine has worked when swimming the past 2 days now. Maybe you will be ok next time having reswt the battery

Any update on this problem, as this was 4 months ago? I've been having the same problem for the last month after it previously working fine. Have just found this comments so will try the battery workaround for now.

Having the same issue all of a sudden, data won't store and transfer to watch, when will this be fixed?

Having the same issue, no HR data using HRM-Pro and Fenix 3, only realised now that we are back to pool swimming.
