Fenix 5 Navigate app Speed and Cadence sensors

Hi,

I have saved some bike courses on my watch but when I want to do a course with Navigate app it doesn't connect to speed and cadence sensors. Dose anybody have the same issue? If I open Bike app the watch starts searching for speed and cadence sensors but in Navigate it doesn't. I have put the cadence and speed fields in Navigate app. The HRM strap is detected.

Hi, just came here looking for answers to the same problem.

I have the exact same issue. When I use navigation the speed + cadence sensor is NOT tracking. If I start a new Bike activity it works fine. This originally led me to buy a new sensor but it does it on that as well. This really renders navigation while you are tracking exercise really useless. I think it is time to move to another brand, because I have seen a similar problem for Garmin Edge here: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-830/168418/sensors-and-navigation-glitch

I have Fenix 5 plus and think it is a software glitch affecting many models?

You can Navigate in Bike activity. Long press on middle left button opens a menu during an activity. From there go to Navigation and select a course.

Basically Navigate App isn't really needed to do navigation.
