Garmin HRM-run not found

A couple of days ago, my Garmin HRM-run strap stopped working. Because I thought the battery would have just run low, I replaced it with a (kind of expensive) Duracell 2032 battery. So far I have tried two new batteries, but the strap isn't found by my FR645M anymore. I have tried replacing the battery, deleting the strap from my watch and searching for it again. Is there anything else I can do? I'm kind of afraid it has died on me - which would really be frustrating, as I havent' been using it for more than two months. Has anyone got any advice?

Yes, contacting Garmin would be a good option for you. I had one die on me and Garmin was very responsive. They immediately shipped out a new one without wanting the old one back.

I posted on this thread (or similar one) a while back saying the same thing. I was putting mine in front of a heat vent to dry it. However, humidity/moisture can not build up inside unless there is a crack…

When replacing the battery make sure to wait for at least 30 seconds before installing a new battery.

Why to wait 30 sec between installing new battery?

Because there can be some residual electrical charge left in the device's electronics (like capacitors), preventing the device from powering off completely, and causing it to fall into an unpredictable state. By waiting those 30 seconds, you let the residual charge to "evaporate" and this means that upon inserting a new battery the device is completely powered off and reset to an initial state.

I had the exact same problem with the Garmin Running Dynamics Pod. After replacing the battery (twice!) the unit cannot be detected at all. Tried pairing it with other Garmin watches but does not help.

Same problem here. I've got through 8 batteries in 6 months. Just bought a couple of expensive Duracell's. HRM worked ok yesterday, but not working at all today. Very disappointed as the transmitter is only 6 months old. In contrast, my very old strap from Garmin 305 is still working fine after many years.
