Body battery physio true up for VS5

any ETA on when we should expect an update to enable Body Battery Physio True Up? It is really frustrating that only watches got this, I already have a Fenix 8….

  • thanks for coming back and giving an update on this, still room for hope in future

  • FWIW I've also tested the VS4 I still have with me, and there is a one way sync of BB from VS to F8 also. F8 also displays the stress / BB levels of when I wore the VS4. (Note :my VS4 was completely off with stress levels hard to reach during the night in the middle of the day, but that's not relevant here, note2: VS4 was so small !!)

  • Gotcha, thanks for the update!

So, as it stands now, with devices I've used (VS5, F8, and Venu3)

    • F8 and VS5 = clearly lacks bidirectional BB TrueUp; however, the Stress/HRV metrics captured by VS5 are later used by F8. In the Connect app, it does display a notice about wearing the watch 24/7 to get more accurate BBatt results.  With this arrangement, you have to discount any BBatt reads displayed by your VS5, but you can probably reliably trust them to a good degree for V8, because the V8 will utilize VS5 readings taken when V8 was not being worn??? You called this "one way" BBatt true up, which I think is an accurate reflection of the situation...

    • F8 and Venu3 = has true Body Battery Physio True Up where I take one watch off, put the other on, and they display the same battery. Pretty nice, but the Venu 3 isn't as small as my VS5 so it doesn't feel like as much of a "break" from wearing a watch as I hoped. It does NOT show the "wear 24/7..." advice on BBatt in Connect app for these 2 devices because it seems to understand that BBatt Physio TrueUp is happening
  • off topic I know but I never understood why Garmin made the VS5 bigger and bulkier compare to the VS4, it seems thewy went backwards? Okay the display is bigger (the VS creates sometimes issues with the horiozontal display text font) but this isn't really the main argument IMO for a band
