Vivoactive 4s did not register sleep 7.10

Ok, after adding sleep manually, then waiting some minutes, sleep data appeared. Will see how it works next time (after restart).

Mine did the same, but also didn't display my resting or high HR - I've had to turn the watch off and on again for the data to show for the last 2 days.

Mine was updated to 7.10 yesterday evening, and was showing both sleep data and resting heart rate today. I did not do any restart.

When mine updated to 7.10 it did a restart all by itself.

Sleep data still looks the same, as does all other functions.

Mine hadden the samen problem since 7.1 update. Also during a outdoor activity the distance is not displayed and when I want to save my data, it is not able  to save. Restarting helpped the first time but it happend again a day later.

I wonder whether your wife's V4s is seeing some of the same problems mentioned in https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/vivoactive-4-series/305026/vivoactive-4-series-venu-sw-7-10-causing-multiple-user-issues-meta-thread? I've found that the device does record sleep data, but refuses to upload it unless I power it off and on again.

Yes, it should be this I suppose. A restart fixes it temporarily, but after some hours it stops syncing ANY data (not only sleep), until it is restarted again.

The strange thing is, that this does not happen with mine, and that is on 7.10 version now as well.

I think most watches are fine with 7.10. Mine is too. My guess is that it doesn't install correctly on all watches. 

Do you have any numbers (about Garmin's Vivo4 fleet size)? I'm not sure if their rollout of 7.10 actually reached 100% before it was pulled. Even if it only affects 1% of their fleet, that would still be a lot of unhappy customers.

Fingers crossed they have logs and telemetry that allows them to figure out what regressed. Also, it's totally possible that there are hardware variants (of a given model), but hopefully they can track that too (via serial numbers etc) to see if there's a correlation.
