Had the venu 3s since release day 1 and no issues. However since the 8.25 software update I've had it crash on me twice. Watch becomes unresponsive for a while and its difficult to restart. Is this likely to be a software issue or hardware?

Support told me to revoke the location permission of the garmin connect app, the issue is tied to that they claimed, and after doing this I've not had any crashes in about a week. Looking promising!…
Mine has stopped reading HR accurately. After 30 on elliptical it will only read my HR at 98. I've only had it 10 weeks. Pretty upset bc I had read that Garmin was so reliable and I switched from Fitbit…
I have opened a case this morning, but no response yet. Watch is freezing daily now and HRM sensor stops working. It is unusable at this stage.
I have the same issue. The watch freezes during sleep or at the latest when the morning report is displayed. When I turn off bluetooth on the smartphone the watch immediatly wakes up from the freeze.
So yeah, turning bluetooth off and on help to use the watch again. But after approximately two days the same issue occures. But at least you don't have to restart the watch in the morning.
I already contacted the supoort and I hope a soon coming update will fix this problem.
For those who are experiencing the Venu 3 crashing since 8.25 software, please answer the following questions so we may investigate further.
I opened a ticket with Garmin, as others confirmed it, the heart rate still disappears every now and then. For me Blue tooth on and iff method doesn’t work, I have to turn the whole watch iff and back on again. Not ideal during training, I like to see my fotness improving yet all this data is based on heart rate.
i just emailed Garmin support again, as in the morning- I again didn’t have sleep data at all and I don’t expect from a Garmin having to reboot daily.
Yes and I am emailing with you people, please look into these issues.
Just FYI to all who are interested, I have received a response from Garmin regarding my opened case on this issue. Their immediate solution was to send a new watch. Doesn't seem to address the root cause of the issue, and is a further inconvenience to me as I will go several days without a watch. I guess if the new watch doesn't have the same issues all will be good in the end. We will see.
IMO that's an insane move from Garmin
The software is the problem, not the device.
That can't be the solution for this problem
Yes please, and I'm from austria
Permission granted. Based in Thailand and Ireland. Watch purchased in EU.
Does anyone ended with resolving this issue? I'm still having at least one UI crash per day. Mostly, when going to sleep and waking up results with frozen UI, can't do anything. Still on ver. 8.25
