Venu 2s keeps switching itself off

I've had my Venu 2s for about 2 years. Over the past couple of weeks it has been turning itself off when I pressed the button to stop an activity. When I plugged it back in it would allow me to save the activity.

Now it has started randomly turning itself off in the middle of an activity.

I've read other posts on the Garmin forum and it seems to have maybe been caused by a software update and there doesn't seem to be a solution to it.

  • I could not agree more! I’m so disappointed with Garmin. I got a max of 2yrs out of my Venu2S. Right now it’s pretty much useless despite factory reset, soft reboots, software updates etc. it powers off for no reason, doesn’t remember the time, can’t find my phone, or GPS signal, stops recording activity halfway through a workout then powers off. I can’t trust the data at all. So so disappointed. This is an expensive watch, customers who invested in one deserve a better product and better after sales care.

  • I started having this problem a couple months ago and it sucks. Especially that it's a watch problem and no user errors. Garmin is about to lose a long term customer (and I'll tell my friends and family) because they won't fix the situation.

  • The venu 2's lifetime is about two years.

I bought on e for my wife in 2021/05. in 2023/04, the watch didn't charge anymore to 100% (about 70% i think). Luckyly, under warranty, so Garmin change the watch.

Since last week, the watch is blocked on blue triangle. No way to restart it (hard reset, plug in computer). So i can throw it away. Garmin offer me 25% on a venu3 (so it's the same price enerywhere on the net), for a watch which can't even show hours anymore after 2 years and a half!

It's so disappointing. I've been a loyal customer for a long time, but my next watches and bike computer won't be garmin anymore
