Took my Venu 2 off charge (100%) at 20:00 last night and this morning at 07:00 it is already 84%.
What is draining the battery so much during the night when I'm asleep?

I have had similar, or even worse, experiences with Venu 2 and version 19.05.
Yesterday evening my Venu 2 had about 40–50 % battery left. At morning the charge was below 10 % and then in about 30 minutes…
What are u talking about? He wrote the problem with his WATCH (Garmin Venu2), not a PHONE.
Today I did 5 times Reset All Data and Settings - didn't help. GARMIN please tell us, are you fixing the buggy 19.05 or not? If not, I will buy another brand.
Guys, we should promote the problem in…
I'm guessing yours was less then 2 years old and under warranty then? Cause my warranty ran out and Garmin support offered a new Venu 2s for 169€. But they couldn't tell me what happens when the new one starts having the same issues as the old one because of the buggy software.
The turning off when an activity was started/during the activity or when ending it started about 3 weeks ago (it has gotten worse in the last few days - started when the battery was under 50%, today it was 66%). The big battery drainage thing started about a week after that.
It amazes me that Garmin isn't fixing the buggy software after so many complaints, it's like they are trying to kill off Venu 2/2s. They are just offering a new one for 169€ (at least that what was told to me).
This solution did not work for me. The GARMIN support even told me to do a complete factory reset of my watch and it did not help either. There is no solution so far and the problem is getting worse every day.
It was the same for me at first. Now when it turns off at 40% and I plug it in, it shows a lower percentage. I think it might have completely messed up the % indication because of the battery draining very fast. Even the watch cannot keep up with the battery levels changing so fast. It is completely crazy that we all have the same problems and that GARMIN is not looking into it!
I agree. I personally think they are trying to "kill off" the older models. Apple does the same with their older products. I think that because i just read that there is basically the same issue with the battery drainage with Venu SQ (and other versions of it) after their last update. So a very similar issue.
Doesn't seem like a good way to kill off the older models in my opinion. I'm training for two races and I'm just annoyed. I'm not thinking to go to another Garmin Watch, I'm wondering if I'll fare better with a different brand. Then again, maybe it works for the majority?
For sure. With *** updates they force to buy new models. No Garmin any more
Been having this issue for months and Garmin is radio silent. It's ridiculous
Venu 2 has reached EOL (end of life). There's no further support, nor bug fixes. Slew of users reported swollen battery due to the age, myself included. It drops from 49% down to 0 in a matter of seconds.
At this point the only option is to get Venu 3 with $100 discount www.garmin.com/en-US/p/873008
