Battery drain

For a few weeks(I think 3/4) I am experiencing an issue with the battery so it drains instantly from about 20% to 0 and watch shuts down due to critical battery level. I have tried to reset my watch but it happened again.

It looks like battery percentage drops slowly from 100% to let's say 30% but then it speeds up and from 20 to 0 drops within less then 5 minutes.
I am not sure if it is maybe the issue with current battery percentage indicator, battery is broken or is it an issue with the recent software.

The watch battery even with this issue can last for about a week(with activities) but it is too much unreliable leaving home with 30% of battery and it dies during a training.

Is there anyone who experienced same issues with their watch or should I assume that its battery is damaged and I should claim a warranty for a replacement.

  • I've emailed you all regarding this.

  • Hello,

I bought a Garmin Venu 2 yesterday, brand new.

It was around 80% charge when I started it, I didn't do any activity tracking, just heart rate and stress, and sleep tracking overnight.

In the morning it was down to 35% and 5 hours later the watch turned off as the battery was down to 0%.

This evening I charged it back to 100%, only turned on heart rate and stress. Watch is not connected to the phone or headsets.

In 1.5h, I already lost 12% of battery.

    That doesn't sound right.

having similar but slightly different issue, bought a venu 2 about 17 months ago (Jan 6 2022), everything was fine until a few weeks back just after the last firmware update (current 13.14), Before the battery would hold 7 days without any issues with low activity, then after that update it barely lasts 2/3 days max, but with the difference that the battery goes down normally for 2 days (like 80% after 2 days) and then dies with the no battery warning, but if I plug it a few seconds to restart I see that there's plenty of battery left, if I just unplug it, it'll last we few hours, and when I plug it again you can see that I just lost a few %, still in the high, so no reason to shut down! the watch has a serious problem and reading on the web all the comments I see that many people have similar issues!

Experience from today, the battery had 6 days left yesterday evening, then this morning the watch is dead, saying no battery, then I plug it and right away it says that I have 60% left of battery! so I unplug it right away, and it goes again for a few hours, dies again, plug it and see 58% left...

Edit: 4 days after this post it's gotten worse ! Now it doesn't last a day, watch shuts down within 24 hrs, not even a battery warning anymore, but I have plenty of battery left (on the video 86% since I had shared it completely the day before) !
