Battery drain

I am having exactly the same issues as many of you.

None of the "battery saving guidelines" from the official website have any impact on the battery performance, it does not make any impact on the problem at all.

I have NO additional watchfaces or applications installed. Powercycling does nothing. This problem started about 3 months ago for me, after one of the updates i guess...

The battery charge indicator cannot be relied on at all.

1. Watch at about 40% of the battery charge jumps down to 0% and then abruptly turns off a few minutes later or turns off immediately without showing 0% at all...

2. After plugging into the charger it starts the charging process from about 30%-40% of the battery.

3. If you turn on training with GPS or try to pay for something using NFC when the battery is at about ~40% - the watch is GUARANTEED to immediately turn off...

Watch is relatively new, bought a little bit more than a year ago (February 2022), this problem seems to be affecting A LOT of users.

At this moment the watch seems to be working for about 5-6 days without registering any activities (before it was more like 9 days)...

In advance I am giving permission to turn on logging on the watch if it is possible and:

1. Email me if necessary,
2. View/access my Garmin Connect account if necessary,
3. I am from Poland.

Hi, I'm also experiencing similar symptoms the other users of this thread reported:

- when ending an outdoor (GPS-enabled) activity with the battery lower than ~50%, the watch would just shut down. Turns back on when put on charger, charging resumes from whatever percent it turned off at - think it was 37% or so the last time i experienced it 

- the bigger issue: at higher battery levels the watch would discharge at a normal rate, estimating ~5d of battery life with my settings. Around 30% the battery charge would suddenly plummet to zero. Screenshot from Battery Graph below. I woke up at 5am with the battery at 0.

Another screenshot with both issues visible. Watch shutting after an activity in the morning of June 3, only to turn back on and resume charging at 36%. Dropping from ~25% to 0 later that same day. Discharging normally after a full charge, then once again dropping to 0 this morning while i was sleeping.

These data were recorded with a regular Garmin watchface - i'd swapped from custom one earlier to make sure it wasn't causing the problem.

The issue started a few months ago, i assumed some update was the culprit so i waited if maybe another update would fix it. Obviously it has not.

Vysledoval jsem stejný problém. Do 20% baterie klesá stabilně a pak stačí zapnout aktivitu a hodinky hlásí slabou baterii a jdou rychle na 0 %. Naposledy jsem při 18% baterie dokázal ujet 10km na kole a hodinky se vyply. Mám pocit, že se intenzita vybíjení zvyšuje.

Dnes znovu : při 20% jízda na kole a po 10km ( cca 20min.) se hodinky úplně vypnuly.

This also started happening to me around 1 month ago. Watch decreases as normal to 40% then it moves to 0% in a matter of minutes and shuts down.

I also give permissions to contact me or enable tracking and I'm in the UK.
