Lily keeps turning off during walking activity

My brand new Garmin Lily keeps turning off part way through walking activity. Today at 95% charge it vibrated saved part of the walk while I was still walking and then turned itself off. The only way to get it to turn back on was to put it back on the charger. Its become a daily occurrence now. Can you please advise in how to fix it ?

  • This is happening to me too. When I haven't set it to activity it seems to start timing by itself and when it does this it doesn't turn off. I did a big walk today but it switched off 20 minutes into it so have no idea of distance or steps covered. Frustrating.

  • its a known problem - see Australia support page...

Garmin is aware of an issue where the screen on Lily can become unresponsive to touch making it appear either locked up or dead. If this occurs, you can recover the watch by plugging it in to charge. This will cause the watch to reboot recovering the screen functionality. This is only a temporary solution while we work on a permanent fix via a future software update. We will update this FAQ with additional information or when we believe the issue is fixed.

** i did find a way to stop it turning off though,  go to garmin connect app, devices and turn off auto activity tracking, it will still record steps but stops the activity turning on which seems to be shorting it out. if i charge it every day and dont let it go down under 70% battery it seems to stay on and record steps ok, if it goes down below 70% turns off again, no step record and will only start up when you charge it. hope it might help. i think its terrible customer service that its a none issue and still not fixed yet everyone around the world is having same problem. come on Garmin, these aren't cheap to buy. Please fix asap.
