Index BPM overwrites previous measurements from same day in Apple Health?

I have the Index BPM and I have turned on syncing to Apple Health from within Garmin Connect.. I've found that within a given day, the Index BPM will always overwrite the previous measurement from that day -- so Apple Health will only retain ONE blood pressure measurement from the Index.  So, if you take measurements in morning and evening - Apple Health will only keep the evening measurement.   By contrast, my Omron will sync every measurement through the day to Apple Health.   I contacted support on this, but the response was this was an Apple Health problem -- which I doubt because the Omron retains every measurement, and my previous Balance Health monitor also retained all measurements in Apple Health.

YES -- all of the measurements are available in Garmin Connect -- but it is much easier to flash the Apple Health screen to my doctor to quickly show my history of my own measurements. Below is screenshot.. I had multiple measurements from Index on 6/15 and 6/14 -- but as you see, it only retains the last one.  Anyone else have this issue or a solution?

  • Hello I confirm only the last measurement is synced with Apple Health whereas my Omron device and app sync every measurement I can do over the whole day and night, The issue is on Garmin side.

Garmin could you please fix this annoying issue ? Health protocol in France is to take 3 measurements in the morning and 3 in the evening to get an accurate follow up of blood pressure over a day. Currently Garmin implementation with Apple does not allow Apple health to comply with this recommendation.

    Thanks

  • Hello

The issue is also with the platform Runalyze.com. The issue is on Garmin side, it happens during sharing between Garmin connect and any other platform using blood pressure data,

Garmin can you fix it, please.

  • Please fix it because it is  actually not possible to use another bpm analysis software which ist dependent from Apple Health data!

  • I had same problem - was using Heart Reports to generate BP reports for my dr - but had to switch back to OMRON monitor instead because Garmin won't fix it. So I just post bad reviews on it everywhere now because it's kind of useless not being able to generate the Apple Health reports. They fixed it briefly once - and then it went back to the same behavior with only latest entry existing per day in Apple Health.

  • It is truly incomprehensible that this problem is not being fixed. It is clearly a mistake that only the last value is saved. Trends in blood pressure cannot be recognized outside of Garmin Connect. However, I sincerely hope that this restriction is not intentional.

  • In Garmin connect we can see all the measurements, this is a good news because for solving the issue the device does not need a firmware upgrade, only garmin connect does.

I believe Garmin considers the issue with a very low fix priority.

I still own my Omron, I think I will sell the Garmin which is not very accurate by the way.
