both unannounced firmware 26.11. and 26.17.
Beta forum is read-only .... According to Garmin, there is no beta active...that's why I wrote here
I'm not subscribed to the beta program and have received the 26.17 firmware update on my Explore 2 unit.
So far the only change I noticed is a pretty reskin of the compass data screen.
It's not official unless they announce it somewhere. Until then it's still - according to my theory - an accidental release, because someone checked the wrong checkbox in some form and nobody in Garmin…
Imagine one day they accidentally release to the Explore 2 a version with software features from xx40, with as many profiles as you like (and editable profile types), and all the performance features .
One can dream...
I only need editable activity types (mtb, gravel, road) or load measurement or mtb statistics, I don't need anything else.
I think the radar too. It has version 3.36
Heart rate device has 2.50 but still is not functioning properly. No stable display of the bpm. New batterij was not the solution.
Read "official" as 'non-beta' ...
Here is some info, but I don't know credibility of that web
Or the maps that are using more disk space than exists...
Ah, this already happened to some.
I think we are all treated as VIP and we all get personalized versions, that only a few people get...
I got the 26.17 today. Somehow it's a Garmin Express only version. Garmin Connect app doesn't see it. Is it a feature or a bug? Unannounced, not visible from the GCM... This is surely a bug
Mine came from the Garmin Connect over Bluetooth. I remember I was surprised that the transfer was (relatively) fast, hinting towards a small package size.
Got 26.17 today via Garmin Express too. Very excited to read "added ability to schedule a software update for after your ride" having been hurt by that in the past. But I can't seem to find any relevant control or setting. Anyone found it?
I guess you can schedule an update only when you have one.
