Beta forum is read-only .... According to Garmin, there is no beta active...that's why I wrote here

I'm not subscribed to the beta program and have received the 26.17 firmware update on my Explore 2 unit.

So far the only change I noticed is a pretty reskin of the compass data screen.

It's not official unless they announce it somewhere. Until then it's still - according to my theory - an accidental release, because someone checked the wrong checkbox in some form and nobody in Garmin…

This is for Edge 540,840 and 1040....i dont mention Edge Explore 2 (While I know they run on a similar system, Edge Explore 2 has different updates)

I suspect 26.17 for the Explore 2 being an unannounced / undocumented production version. For the x40-series there never has been a 26.17 beta version.

Can any non-beta subscriber confirm getting the 26.17 version?

Installed 26.17 without issues, but not yet used for navigation outside.

sorry, you're right. Garmin-Matthew can you fix the missing pieces of information? Is there a new beta version? Then please announce it and open the beta forum. There isn't? Then what it is? Is it production? Then announce it here.

I think what's happening is that someone is building new versions that are supposed to be only tested by Garmin, but they click some checkbox and that accidentally publishes it to the beta testers, and Garmin don't even know about it...
