Me too. You can already be warned of busy roads, so the Climb Detection should not really be a technical problem. The new…

Can't find back where I found this info.
Lo encontraste aquí. forum.gps.nl/viewtopic.php?t=54176
On the Dutch forum I quoted the same info, but that's not the source of it though...
From the 1040 forum:
Free riding detection is based on the routable map and DEM data so does not need the climb databases. The climb databases are used for finding a climb via the climb explore and marking their locations on the map with a mountain icon. If you don't wnat these latter features then you don't need the database files.
Clear for me... reading the other forum sections is good practice. I'll stop to repeat here quotes from there.
Free climb detection is not a feature that has been enabled on the Explore unit to my knowledge, but I will check.
im trying to see if i can find someone with a 1040/840/540 to get the files and put them on the explore.....probably wont work but worth a shot
Good idea or bad idea, I'm not sure.
I can't wait to see if it works.
I checked and Free climb detection is not enabled on this model of Edge.
