New Edge Explore 2 Version 20.18 Now Available

The new firmware 20.18 was installed on my device yesterday.
What are the changelogs?

  • You're lucky, I get this:

Although considering the bugs they usually add, maybe I am the lucky.

Probably they'll announce 20.18 next month (as they did with other changes recently... a month later)

  • they rolled it back. It's not there any more

  • and it's here again, this time it downloaded.... installing now. I hope I won't regret it

  • Apart from bug fixes, have any new features or improvements been added?

  • there's a changelog that you can see in garmin express before the upgrade. There wasn't any feature (which is strange from Garmin, but it's a welcome change)\The reason I upgraded is that there was some fix related to Hebrew keyboard. otherwise i would've waited

    • Fixed crash when connecting to RCT715.
    • Fixed crash in data screen edit menu.
    • Fixed light network battery status icons for components with an external power source.
    • Added keyboard suggestion bar for Greek, Hebrew, and Russian.
    • Hid disconnected radar icon when in an indoor activity profile.
    • Fixed truncation of creation date for courses in the dynamic glance area.
    • Fixed refresh of mobile notifications page.
    • Clarified whether the source of an automatically detected maximum heart rate was from directly measured values or estimated from the user's activity history.
    • Fixed elevation plot overlap with map while zooming.
    • Fixed the resume navigation feature after diverging from a course.
    • Added a POl suggestion bar for Simplified Chinese QuickSpell.
    • Fixed other minor issues and improved device stability.
  • I had hoped for the "Climb Detection" for unplanned routes (if you are not navigating) as with almost all other Edge devices. But unfortunately not again.

  • So, still not option to usefully edit 3 predefined activity profiles....

  • Eso es lo que mas estoy esperando. Me mata lo de bicicleta de grabilla cuando estoy utilizando una BTT

  • I had hoped for the "Climb Detection" for unplanned routes

Me too. You can already be warned of busy roads, so the Climb Detection should not really be a technical problem. The new Edge Explore 2 now also has enough computing power and memory.
