830 locked up during a ride

During a ride today, my Edge 830 completely locked up. The screen and buttons were all unresponsive. Eventually I figured out how to reset by holding down the power button for about 20-30 seconds. It did resume recording the activity where it left off. But I had been riding for about four or five minutes before I realized.

My Edge is on software v4.10.

What can I do to prevent this from happening? It's quite frustrating.

I updated to 5.10 yesterday morning and then my 830 locked up 50 miles into a 60 mile ride. Screen was frozen on navigation, and it didn't record any data after the freeze. I'd probably done 30 rides on…

5.28 doesnt fix it. Had a lock up last week after about 55 km. Screen was on map the whole time, just tracking the ride, no routing and segments were off.

Same occasionally. But, every time I am Live tracking another rider in my group, I can't change off the map screen and the map controls (+ - and hand) remain visible.

Also I was not following a course, was riding on cobble stones maybe that was the reason ;-)

A full lock-up has happened to me since the 4.10 upgrade. Along with full sensor resets about every 60 to 90 minutes.
