no BT pairing with GCM 4.34, but 4.22 works

I have now installed the (more than 1 year old!) version 4.22 of Garmin Connect Mobile (from apkmirror) on my Moto G7 Power (Android 10) smartphone. With this version 4.22 of GCM the BT pairing with my Garmin Edge 530 (FW 6.0) succeeds immediately and all BT connected features work as expected. Wtf...?

I have the same issue: E530 FW6.0, LG G7 Android 10 with GCM4.34. Although because of security concerns I have not downloaded any previous version from apkmirror or wherever.

It would be welcome if Garmin could provide downloads for older versions of the Garmin Connect Mobile app (and also of device Firmware).

Garmin Connect 4.35, firmware 6.20. Still the same issue.

Installing 4.22 fixes it, but my Nokia 5.3 is managed and I cannot turn off auto-update.

There must be somithing different in 4.22 vs. newer versions...

@Garmin, please compare and fix.
