Can't pair Edge 530 (6.00) to CMobile (4.34) Android

As the title says:

Pairing request ok, link prompt ok, even the passcode pops up. Then the loading bar appears and hangs there for a while but eventually telling me that the pairing has failed.

LG G7 Android 10

Someone suggested rolling back to an earlier build of connect, but I am hesitant as I have not found any previous official releases

Garmin Connect 4.35, firmware 6.20. Still the same issue.

Installing 4.22 fixes it, but my Nokia 5.3 is managed and I cannot turn off auto-update.

There must be somithing different in 4.22 vs. newer versions...

@Garmin, please compare and fix.
