Why does the distance to the next turn not update?

Garmin.... oh Garmin....

PLEASE change the "next turn" screen such that the distance at the top left actually shows the current distance to the next turn. For some reason it shows an old value at the top left and the current value at the bottom left. See image. (thanks dcrainmaker)

It would be nice to configure the lower data fields individually. Currently it's quite confusing if at the top it says 0.1 mile to the next turn ... even though I'm standing just next to the turn.

It would also be nice to have more options regarding the changing screens, i.e. configure screen 1 to show for 10s, screen 2 for 5s, screen 3 only manually.

edit: if map screen is set to high contrast, the turn screen still shows the normal map. This should use the same setting.

Oh Crap - you're right - the pop up turn notification is still static !!!! Now how useful is that......and also how dangerous and misleading this is.

Is Garmin aware of this bug?

Is it necessary for me to start a case with Garmin support? Does garmin support ever delivers for this sort of issues?

Does anyone's turn signal work properly - meaning it comes on and correctly counts down the distance to the turn?

I'm wondering whether it's a hardware issue (mine and AthleticJoy's) or is it a firmware issue. It's quite an obvious fault and i'm surprised there is no more uproar other than here.

This applies to all units, the data field at the bottom works, so it’s not a hardware issue. It should actually be easy to fix - provided Garmin wants to fix it

Beta 4.19 did not fix the pop up turn notification bug !!

According to the turn notification i'm 50m away from the right hand turn....in reality i'm half that distance to it....no wonder i was confused the first few rides with the 530. These false signalling threw me off my navigation wits and i got lost a few times missing my turns !!!!!!

this one is a real doozy - there's a roundabout here - my red circle (AU cycling basemap is not accurate?)- but according to the turn signal it's 200m away (and it stays at 200m until i pass it) - when i'm actually 45m from it. Dangerously misleading i say.

And sometimes my blue avatar doesn't show in the turn notification - so you sometimes don't know where you are - like the above.

Here's another - just to prove it's not a fluke:

I'm nearly upon the turn (3 secs) but yet the 530 says relax - it's 70m away......

pop up turn notification bug still exist in beta 4.21 -
