Ride upload issue while connected to WiFI and Bluetooth

 I’ve noticed that with WiFi and Bluetooth enabled if I get home from a ride the Garmin does not auto upload and shows sync failed. If I end my ride while riding home before I’m in range of my home WiFi the ride will upload without an issue. I assume that there is a problem uploading while connected to my home WiFi and connected to my iPhone. Anyone else seen this issue? I assume my work around is to just turn off WiFi..

  • Fixed it.  Deleted device in garmin app and forgot bluetooth on phone and 530.  Did a full repair and setup.  Working perfectly now.

  • Same problem.  Very frustrated. I have deleted and repaired device many times and am still getting the device is busy message when I try to sync.  Any other suggestions?

    Please Garmin, you have to solve this problem asap!!!

  • I'm having the same problem, but my 530 is locked up.  I tried to forget my phone, but it just gives me "please wait" and won't do anything.  I'm sure the answer is going to be reset the device.  Bad tech. 

    I love paying $300 for a device that crashes within 24 hours.  All my other Garmin devices would sync before I even thought about it.  

  • I came from a Wahoo ELEMNT where ride syncing was perfect. This is just a mess.

    It was the same when I last used a Garmin 5 years ago. Atrocious!

  • I'm having the same issue. It is connected to the phone but will not sync the ride at the end. I keep getting the same message as others. I don't have it set up to use my wifi at home, but do have my work wifi network programmed in. I rode in to work yesterday and as soon as I completed the ride at work it suddenly sent all of my rides that hadn't uploaded previously to Garmin Connect and downloaded the 3.50 software update. Rode home on v3.50, completed the ride and nothing. Opened up the connect app and it shows connected to the Edge 530 and no sync. Big red exclamation point and an error message about it being busy and unable to sync. I tried powering off and on the phone and the edge, tried removing and adding the connections, tried everything I could think of and still getting the same error and no ride upload. It's really starting to piss me off because if the connection isn't working to the phone how am I supposed to trust the incident detection and the livetrack(which refuses to start as of right now)
