The new mount does not fit the mount on my Trek Madone or my Trek Emonda. I was using the K-Edge mount and the new position of the computer's mount make is impossible.

The exact bike I used to show that in my 1050 video. (Madone 8 though.... nice bike!)
More to do with mechanical vibration and the center of gravity.
The change of mount position makes this a hard pass for me, I have a 1040 and a load of proprietary out-front mounts, the cost of replacing all the mounts (when/if they become available) would be more…
Here is a pic with my updated Madone gen 7 K-Edge mount. Problem solved.
Is that the 1050?
The K-Edge Gen6 will work, but you have to get the angle just right. And that angle is a bit too far forward. In direct sunlight, the screen is no better than the 1040. The attached video shows the screen while going from a shaded region, to full sun light, and back into shade. It sort of shows what I mean. The first picture shows it in shade, and the second in full sun light.
I ordered the Gen7 based on this thread. it improves things for me.
It do not fit, i have also ordered the edge 1050 and a Giant Propel aero mount, and it does not fit. i am very disappointed.
The 1050 JUST fits with the iTalon Ultra out front mount, but will rub against the handlebars. I actually removed the battery cover on the 1050 and its able to fit without rubbing (though have to be careful when turning it into position). I will upgrade to a new out front mount when one is available with slightly more clearance.
1050 can actually be assembled but it is very tight and cannot be adjusted. It should have a little more clearance.
Waste of money as the 7 Gen K-Edge will only just take the Garmin Edge 1050 at a 45 degree angle making difficult to read the whole screen it also looks stupid from a side view a total failure from K Edge avoid it is a waste of money.
I found a solution for this problem through framesandgear.com. They have a long arm mount that’s compatible with the 1050 and the Trek aero bars. I just sent a message to the support contact email, and they swapped the short arm for the long arm in my order. It’s out of stock right now, but this is the product. Hope this helps.
