The new mount does not fit the mount on my Trek Madone or my Trek Emonda. I was using the K-Edge mount and the new position of the computer's mount make is impossible.

The exact bike I used to show that in my 1050 video. (Madone 8 though.... nice bike!)
More to do with mechanical vibration and the center of gravity.
The change of mount position makes this a hard pass for me, I have a 1040 and a load of proprietary out-front mounts, the cost of replacing all the mounts (when/if they become available) would be more…

I did test drive yesterday a Madone SL 7 Gen 8 and I love it. This is my new bike. I'm getting it as soon I'm done paying for my Domane SL 7 Gen 4 LOL.
What year is your Madone?
Works fine on my Gen 6 SL7 Trek Madone with Gen 6 SLR bars and K-Edge mount.
The one GPLama tested in is the new Madone Gen 8.
after the group ride, I tried it on my friends with Gen 6 Madones and their K-Edge mounts are longer and worked perfectly.
I am also afraid that the Most UltraTalon handlebar mounting in the Pinarello Dogma F12 will be too short and the new E1050 will not fit. Could any of you E1040 and E1050 users compare the dimensions from the bottom of the device to the center of the mounting? THX
DId you have the SL version (based on your handlebars)?
The 1040 is 56 mm and new E1050 is 65mm.
Why in the *** Garmin changed the position of the mount? Are they crazy? I ordered my Edge 1050, will be here in 3 days and I hope it can fit in my Giant Propel aero mount, else I'll return and be disappointed.
