Garmin Coach workouts often do not sync

I very often have the issue that garmin connect workouts between web connect / phone (Android) / fenix 7s and my edge 1040 are not in sync. The edge 1040 workout then shows old information. The other devices are in sync in this case. The only workaround is removing the edge 1040 from my phone, and reconnecting it. The initial sync then corrects this issue. Any other workaround I have tried (syncing via computer / restarting edge) do not work. Is Garmin aware of this issue and will it be fixed? It is *very* annoying that I have to do this once or twice a week by now.

  • So I've tried everything on this list but the only thing that worked form me was a hard reset followed by a fresh config, not a restore from a previous version. I didn't port the activities or sensors over, rather configured everything as if it was a new device (ride type, safety features, added sensors, etc.). After that the coach workouts have been syncing without issue.
