If you are experiencing this with sensors and Edge on version 16.13, please reply in this thread:
We understand the frustration this experience is causing you all and we do apologize for this. We are actively working to address this as quickly as possible, and sincerely appreciate all of the folks…
I have provided 500mb of ant logs and pointed out where the issue has occurred in all the logs via email/garmin file uploader and this forum. It is 100% reproducible.
It is about time this MAJOR issue…
Same Here :-( third update in a row wich doesnt work with sensors
same here, at the moment no problems with sensor connectivities; finger crossed...
Garmin! When you, world leadership in sport equipment, will solve this problem or the hands of your engineers grow from "one place (ass)"
Just upgraded my 1040 head unit to firmware 17.29, and the Garmin sensors failed to return after the unit had been in sleep mode overnight. I could see the head unit was "searching" for the sensors, which were active, i.e., crankset, wheel and heart rate. I browsed into the head unit, main, sensors, and I tried turning each sensor off and back on, but the head unit would not reacquire the sensor's broadcast.
After I shutdown and restarted the head unit the sensors came back automatically.
ANT+ does not "pair, broadcast only. I don't know what type of tags the head unit implements, but a memory issue exists.
Hi rmsmith1126, the same for me. Sometimes on wake from sleep it is like you mentioned (I am not sure though if it did also happen for me after a proper boot - I will try to note this, after the next time it happens to me). Sometimes it initially connects and after a few minutes I loose all my sensors and then only a reboot helps (like you mentioned). Roughly every second or third ride this happens.
My observation: After waking up the device (1040s) it finds my Di2, Speed Sensor, HR, Rally, Varia RTL 515 very quickly. Once I start moving again, all sensor are gone immediately. Then I need to pause the ride, switch off the device entirely, and reboot (after which I proceed riding with no issues until the next pause & sleep).
