SCOSCHE Rhythm 24 Dropouts with 1040 and 1030+

Anyone else using SCOSCHE Rhythm 24 HR armband sensor with an Edge 1030+ or 1040? It worked like a champ until a Garmin firmware update around maybe 6-8 months ago, and then suddenly HR data dropouts started occurring - first on my 1030+ and now on both of the two 1040 Solar units I’ve had. I really dislike chest straps plus was using the scosche sensor for dual-band recording, sending data to both Zwift and my Edge unit with great success for a couple of years until suddenly these dropouts started. SCOSCHE customer service confirmed that a Garmin firmware charge caused this as they started receiving a large number of calls about the same issue. Garmin please help!

FYI - for anyone tracking this issue. I have been corresponding with Garmin support and have sent them a log with debugging on. Will post here if I have any success.

I have same issue with my old scosche 24 and with 2 of new Rhythm+2.0. Scosche replace me with another one but I have always some drops in my workouts. Sometimes more, sometimes less. This happen with Garmin 945, edge 130 and 955.

Yes! I have the same issue. It started happening around the same time on my old 1030 and now on my new 1040. I actually have (2) SCOSCHE Rhythm 24's and both do the exact same thing. Just random drops throughout every ride. Super annoying. I actually considered buying a different brand optical HRM because it's driving me crazy. I'd love to know what Garmin is saying about it.
