Position cursor - triangle size

Hi Garmin,

How is it possible that such a large company, which released so many good products on the market, after so many posts on the official forum and on the official website regarding the increase in the size of the positional cursor - triangle, is so irresponsible and ineffective? 90% of people who bought EDGE 1030 and 1040 series navigation for cycling asked you to increase this triangle with a software update because it is really small and unnoticeable. I can't believe you are so blatantly inconsiderate. Many have sold such navigation systems and switched to devices from other manufacturers for this exact reason. Please take a look at the visual design of other manufacturers' displays and create the boom that is expected of you.

At the very least they could get the most junior programmer to spend 30 minutes swapping the position cursor and Virtual Partner (almost twice the size) symbols, the color of both can be modified via the MapTheme (hack) but as you say it is unbelievable they have ignored these requests for years & years when it would be so easy to fix.

Why is the virtual partner symbol bigger (there's a reason)?

The position cursor is always in the same place isn't it?

I am happy for you that your eyesight must be much better than mine and better than that of 90%** of Garmin users. In my cycling club the average age of members is probably in the 50s and everyone (who has a Garmin) complains regarding the difficulty of using the navigation map and seeing the details including the cursor with a quick glance rather than needing a prolonged deliberate study. **ok I made that number up, but it would be so easy for Garmin to offer an option for a bigger symbol and so difficult to understand why they don’t but it does seem typical of their apparent attitude regarding their customers.

Garmin would say. You should move closer to the device, then the cursor will become larger.

I am sure in these numbers. If you can not do it, would you let the car navigation developers fix this problem? They know how it should be done, because it is very well done on the car navigation system (I also own a Garmin car navigation system).

This is really a shame, how you are getting out of solving an important issue.

Please, just see how it should look on competing devices.

It’s not the “dire” problem a few people here are imagining.
